Paul Kottom, VP of Operations

I grew up in a family of five in the Midwest. Mealtime was always family time and we always enjoyed plenty of good food. We had a large backyard garden with lots of fresh vegetables and fruit. Anticipation was heavy waiting for that first tomato, pear, or melon to be ripe and ready to eat. With three big hungry boys in the house we certainly went through a lot of food.

We were lucky to be able to go on family vacations every summer and since we all loved the outdoors we explored many of the country's national and state parks. From a young age I learned to appreciate the diverse natural beauty in this county. As an adult I have moved around the country quite a bit in order to continue my exploration of different places. Sports were also a very important part of my life growing up. The garden became a backyard skating rink in the winter so we could play spontaneous hockey games in the time between school and dinner. Of course, we also played a lot of football and baseball. I still enjoy playing basketball as it provides me with a fun opportunity to meet great play while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

I have been a part of the natural food business since 1998. I am happy to work in a place where it is our job to help people eat healthier by providing great tasting nutritious products.
